Family Jiu-Jitsu Karate Terms and Conditions
1. Membership Agreement
By enrolling in Family Jiu-Jitsu Karate, all students and their guardians agree to adhere to the rules, policies, and procedures outlined by the academy. Membership privileges may be suspended or terminated for violations of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Assumption of Risk
All students and/or their guardians acknowledge the inherent risks involved in martial arts training, including but not limited to personal injury. Students voluntarily assume all risks and responsibilities connected with participation.
3. Waiver and Release
By participating in any class, seminar, or event affiliated with Family Jiu-Jitsu Karate, students and guardians release Family Jiu-Jitsu Karate, its instructors, staff, and affiliates from any and all liability for injuries or damages incurred as a result of participation.
4. Code of Conduct
Students, parents, and visitors must conduct themselves respectfully at all times. Any inappropriate, disruptive, or disrespectful behavior may result in removal from the premises and/or termination of membership without refund.
5. Payment Policy
Membership dues must be paid according to the agreed billing schedule. Late or non-payment may result in suspension or termination of membership. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
6. Attendance Policy
Regular attendance is encouraged for steady progress. Family Jiu-Jitsu Karate reserves the right to alter class schedules or cancel classes when necessary (e.g., holidays, weather events, emergencies).
7. Uniform and Hygiene Standards
Students must wear the designated uniform (Gi or No-Gi attire) and maintain proper hygiene at all times. Fingernails and toenails must be trimmed, and a clean uniform must be worn to every class.
8. Photography and Video
Family Jiu-Jitsu Karate reserves the right to take photographs or video recordings during classes, seminars, and events for promotional purposes. Students or guardians who wish to opt-out must submit a written request.
9. Parent and Spectator Policy
Parents and spectators are welcome and encouraged to silently observe classes. However:
-
Spectators must remain quiet and refrain from causing any distractions during training sessions.
-
Sideline coaching — meaning giving instructions, corrections, or commentary to students during class — is strictly prohibited.
-
Any disruption to the class environment, including talking, coaching, or other distracting behavior, will result in being asked to leave.
-
Repeated disruptions may lead to termination of the student's membership at the discretion of the academy.
Our goal is to maintain a focused, safe, and respectful training environment for all students. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
10. Modifications to Terms
Family Jiu-Jitsu Karate reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Notice of changes will be provided through appropriate communication channels.
11. Acceptance
By enrolling and/or participating in classes at Family Jiu-Jitsu Karate, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
